Why Refuge?
Many books touch on the subject of domestic abuse and child poverty.
Whenever I read a book that touches on that subject, it hits home.
No one should have to live that kind of life. It affects and changes their life forever, in more ways than one.
Every little helps:
£10 could pay for a child’s school pack, uniform to help them fit in school and to stop them from feeling so lonely
£25 could pay for art and crafts, story telling and support
£75 could pay for a local support group
Every Page Inspires Change and so can YOU
Why Pancreatic Cancer UK?
Now, this is a personal one. As I lost my mum to this nasty disease 8 years ago.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity fighting Pancreatic Cancer on all fronts: support, information, campaigning to increase awareness and fund innovative research
They’ve launched: Campaign for Hope. This sets out two ambitious goals:
- To double survival rates
- To change the NHS experience for Pancreatic cancer patients from being the worst to one of the best
That right there has my support. What about yours?
