5 Knock Out Stars
This is hands down THE best book I’ve read this year. I couldn’t put it down.
The story of Violet and Lincoln was amazing. I fell in love with Violet when I read Pulse, I wanted to befriend her, hold her hand and tell her everything would be ok.
In Crash, you get to see inside her life. You feel what it’s like to withdraw yourself after suffering a traumatising ordeal like she did. The way Violet started to fight her demons was inspiring. Every little step she took to overcome her fears had me shouting ‘go on girl’ even if the outcome made her want to take a step back.
Violet and Lincoln have had a crush on each other since they were 16 years old and now years later, after both starting to work at Ash’s gym, they get their chance but Lincoln is only there for 6 months while he recovers from a shoulder injury. Is that long enough for Violet let him in? What will happen when that 6 months is up? Read it and find out.
I absolutely love Amity Cross and her style of writing. Her books just suck you in, you just sit back and enjoy. I cannot recommend this book enough.
PS. The part with the hairspray had me in stiches!
